Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake

This Cake needs no introduction! It is chocolate, moist, and covered in a rich ganache, with beautiful fresh strawberries on top! Oh my goodness, y’all this Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake is soooo Delicious! It is easy, and I’m going to tell you how to bake this glorious cake, You really should make it right now!

You will need,

Ingredients:

1 box chocolate cake mix, prepare via box instructions

1/2 cup sour cream

12 oz milk chocolate chips

12 oz whipping cream

First you will need a regular box of chocolate cake mix! Prepare via the box instructions, but also add in 1/2 cup of sour cream!

Now beat the cake batter in your mixer for at least 5 minuets, so it’s nice and fluffy!

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minuets, not 30 minuets! Do not over bake, or it will be dry!

Once the cake is done baking set it to the side to cool!

Now for the Chocolate Ganache!

In a microwave safe bowl microwave the cream for 30 seconds. Add the chocolate chips to the cream, and stir. Then put the bowl back into the microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir again until melted!

Now frost the cake liberally with the chocolate ganache until Covered. Then layer on the strawberries, and drizzle the top of the cake with the leftover ganache!
