There are five of us blogging here- Pamela (the mom), Amanda and Ana (her daughters), Kristy and Lexie  (her daughter-in-laws). We started Hungry Holidays in the summer of 2017 with a passion to share our recipes, family time, and love with others.

Partiers at Heart

People constantly commented on how we seem to always be celebrating something- which is completely true! With a big family there is always a birthday or achievement to celebrate. We get together for everything from an engagement to national doughnut day. Life is meant to be enjoyed- especially with your family.

This is why we chose to name our blog Hungry Holidays. First off- someone is always hungry. Good thing we love to cook- everyone is well fed around here! Second- we celebrate everyday. We truly believe you can make everyday a holiday. Maybe not Christmas big- but celebrated in some small way.

About our Family

Family is #1 to us- they come before anything else in our lives. We believe quality family time can make all the difference in a relationship whether it's a husband and wife, child and parent, or sibling relationship. Some our favorite things to do together are cook (of course!), play board games or video games together, garden and play outside, and explore our home state of Idaho. We are also HUGE Disney fans- a yearly trip to Disneyland or Disney World is a must for us.

Our Recipes

Our recipes are definitely kid-approved. Amanda's youngest daughter-  who she refers to as "little bear"- eats anything and everything. But we know not all kids are like that! As a matter of fact- we have a couple!

Homemade food from mom or grandma's kitchen is something we reminisce about and talk about often. Because we had childhoods like this- we have emulated this in our own homes. These are the kind of recipes we share here.

A delicious, time consuming meal is good on some occasions (like Christmas or Thanksgiving!) but we keep many of the recipes we share simple and quick because we know what it is like to be busy! There is always a dance recital, drivers ed class, or errands to run. You can rest assured that you should be able to make many of our recipes simply!

You- Part of our Family

We genuinely hope you get to know and love our family and we hope that we get to know you and your family too. We often refer to friends as "part of the family"! We love our readers so much- we love to chat with you all and learn more about you. You are our friends! If this is your first time here, come be part of our family- we would love to have you!
