Southwestern Pizza
My family, and I, love to experiment making all different kinds of pizza. We just love pizza! We could eat pizza for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2nd dinner. Lol! We decided to experiment, and made this Southwestern pizza. It was a total hit! This pizza is cheesy, crunchy, and because it’s homemade, it is even on the healthy side. So on that note, you can eat as many slices as you would like! Lol! At least that’s what I think! Lol!
Easy pizza dough
Ingredients:
1 1/2 C warm water
1 T active yeast
1 T sugar
1/4 C olive oil
1 tsp salt
4 C All-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. In your mixing bowl, stir warm water, yeast, and sugar together. Let it rest until it becomes foamy.
2. Then add oil, salt and flour, into the yeast mixture. Attach the dough hook onto your mixer, mix on low until it molds into a ball.
3. Take off dough hook, and put a tea towel on top of the bowl. Place the bowl in a warm area, until it doubles in size.
Toppings:
refined beans
Colby cheese shredded
Taco seasoning
Black olives
Jalapeño
Bell peppers
Shredded lettuce
Ricotta cheese
Preheat oven 475 degrees
Ready for the fun part?!
Once your dough has doubled in size, its time to start forming your pizza. Roll your dough out to 1 inch thickness. Place the rolled out dough onto a greased pizza pan. Now spread on your refried beans, and then sprinkle taco seasoning over the beans. Next add little dollops of ricotta cheese on top. Finish off the pizza with the rest of the toppings. Do not add your shredded lettuce on, until you take the pizza out of the oven.
Bake about 15 minuets, at 475 degrees.
