50 Years Loved! A 50th Birthday Party!

Happy 50th Birthday Pamela!

We were thinking that there were only so many times you can tell people that it is your 49th birthday, haha! So this year we celebrated my Mom's 50th Birthday! It can be a difficult Birthday to swallow, so we wanted to have a celebration of her 50 years, instead of the typical over the hill gloomy party!

We made her party special with lots of her favorites! Let's start with the table scape! We decorated with small colored vases of pink roses, of course! Next to the vases we placed photos of my mom, in gold picture frames. Kristy took beautiful pictures of my mom, marking her special birthday! For the table covering we used a white tablecloth, under a runner of Victorian looking wrapping paper, covered in a sweet pink floral pattern. This is something I love to do! You will see me use wrapping paper as the table runner often! It really adds something personal to the tablescape! Then you can just throw the paper out, after the party! Or roll it up, and wrap gifts with it, haha! We used beautiful gold chargers, and crystal dinner plates, topped with blue, and teal salad plates! Each table setting is topped with a pink napkin, and a little jar of candies! We had to add our blue pedestal cups, and crystal goblets! We just love how fancy it turned out! My mom is a fancy lady after all!

We had to add pictures of her grand babies! We also decorated with cute plaques, that have quotes about moms on them.

I just Love Love Love the color combinations, pinks, teal, blue, and gold!

We love using these crystal dinner plates all the time! They are perfect for all sorts of get togethers!

The Birthday cake was another one of her favorites! A chocolate cake, with fudgy frosting, covered in chocolate shavings, and topped with chocolate covered strawberries! Yum! And so pretty too!

Family Potato Salad

Ingredients:

6 Russet potatoes peeled, diced, and boiled

1/2 cup Green onion

1 cup Cheddar cheese, cut into tiny cubes

1cup Bacon, sprinkle with brown sugar, broil in the oven, and diced

Sauce:

1 cup Sour cream

1 cup Mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Mustard

1 tablespoon Sugar

Salt

Pepper

Combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl, and mix well! Then add the other ingredients in a separate bowl, and carefully mix, you don't want to mash your potatoes! Then pour the sauce over the top of the ingredients, and mix well! Refrigerate until you are ready to serve it! Enjoy!

We Love our big family! We are so blessed to have a wonderful Mom, Wife, and Nana, at the heart of it! We hope you enjoyed our party! Hopefully you can throw a beautiful, life celebrating 50th Birthday Party for someone you Love! Thanks for joining us!
