Tropical Trifle

Aloha!

I love when I can take a dessert and give it an unexpected twist. This dessert is fun, looks pretty, and is easy to make! As a plus you can even make it the night before, but what your guests won't expect is my secret ingredient. Pineapple! This is tropical trifle after all, and whats more tropical then pineapple and bananas?

Start by making the custard!

Ingredients:

1 5.9oz box of banana pudding

15oz of crushed pineapple

1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk

1/3 cup of milk

Mix together the ingredients in a bowl until smooth, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and put in the fridge to set up!

We used a trifle dish similar to this one:

Layer the bottom, and sides of your trifle with vanilla flavored cookies!

In this step I'm adding the chilled custard to some fresh whipped cream!

Ingredients:

1 pint of Whipping cream

1/3 cup of white Sugar

1tsp of vanilla extract

Whip ingredients together in your mixer, until stiff peaks form!

Carefully fold the custard into the whipped cream!

Add a layer of the custard/whipped cream mixture on top of the vanilla wafers!

Follow with a layer of fresh sliced bananas on top of the custard mixture!

Add more vanilla cookies, and another layer of custard!

Don't forget more sliced bananas!

Keep layering the trifle as follows:

Vanilla cookies

Custard

Sliced Banana

Vanilla cookies!

Finish the top with a layer of vanilla cookies!

I garnished the top with whipped topping, and some crushed vanilla wafers! Place the trifle in the fridge to set up, until you're ready to serve it!

Perfect tropical trifle for your Hawaiian Party! Or for any day of the Summer you need an easy fresh tasting dessert! Hope you enjoy! Aloha!
